The Shaggy Dog is one of the top 5 movies I want to Write for Disney, because It is a movie I love and respect with all my heart. If you get someone who loves the material, you are one step there. IT is obvious to me that the people who wrote this TRON script love the movie, anf This makes me very hopeful.

Horrible script. Horrible acting. Cheesy special effects. It would be hard to do worse than the original here.

This last Speedroom was really cool and seemed to be the most effective. Not because it was necessarily from Tron, but it was being projected on such a massive curved screen. Very cool!

They're why elderly geeks still geek out over it, and why they got sufficient support for making a big-budget sequel to a 27-year-old box-office turkey.

And that's where they succeeded. As for the script and acting, yeah, it was definitely lacking somewhat there. Probably why the movie failed at the box-office. But the look and feel to the film is what made it have such a cult follwing. Count me in as one of the few who liked it for what it was! Now, it's 'nostalgic', but back then, it was 'state-of-the-art'.
