Only if one defines "the facts" as "Douglas' opinion." Which DD so often does.

Really? Who is the obvious exception? I don't believe there is a person here who hasn't disagree with some of the Bush administration policies, or admit they've made some mistakes<<

I'm guessing your login to LP has an ignore feature that the rest of us doesn't and you have Beaumandy in your listed therein?

This rather predictable statement is invariably directed against those who feel no rancor against conservative governments. It goes hand in hand with the notion that one school of thought (liberal/progressive/humanist or whatever they want to call it) is somehow more intellectual than another (conservative/backward/neocon or whatever they want to call it).

The truth is, there are "smart" people and "dumb" people at both ends of the spectrum. For every Dittohead there is a member of Cindy Sheehan's army of lapdogs. For every right wing blogger there's a left wing chat board. For every one who thinks that Bill O'Reilly is a journalist, there's another who believes that Michael Moore creates documentaries.

"Not thinking" is not an exclusive province.

Beaumandy has criticized President Bush here. Most recently on immigration. I believe he also said we should have leveled Fallujah, or something similar.

The big question is, how do we set all those people adrift somewhere so the majority of America can live in happiness?

Present facts, and they'll be looked at.

Yet a guy who says someones kids should have been aborted gets a pass from the mob on here.

Myself, I would never tell a parent that his/her kid should have been aborted.

However, I will strongly urge one not to reproduce.

So, please do us all a favor and don't have any more munchkins.

What it says is a lot about you. You've built up such enmity here that when people say such things about you or your children, no one feels compelled to respond or say anything. People can take only so many "moonbat", "loser lib", "idiot", "moron" comments and much worse things you've thrown around here before they could not care less what is said to you. Seriously, think about it.

Not defending certainly doesn't mean automatic approval. I fail to understand how anyone can deplore the bad manners of another while engaging in them themself.

I kind of agree. I see no reason to defend him, and understand that his behavior causes some people to say harsh things to him, and it's not undeserved, but I don't think I would say his kids (if they even exist) should have been aborted.

Perhaps him, but not his kids. Poor things.
