I just found out today that I can have the time off in July - to spend in Hawaii at the family reunion (parents paying!!!).

It's really relaxing there are no cars allowed on site, a great swimming complex, nice restaurants, lots of things to do etc.

Not been to Prague before, we have been meaning to go for a while, really looking forward to it :)

It is a resort, you pay a fee to stay, then the water complex is all included, but the extra sports you pay for. Not a mall although there are a couple of shops.

Sleep well I hope the LA weather picks up, apparently we are going to have more rain next week!

Board game night sounds like a lot of fun.

I am not so much sure it's worse, I am thinking the brother told her the words, she didn't really understand them and just picked a whole bunch of numbers to send them to on the phone? I can't imagine it was aimed directly at you..

Unfortunately, many adult children see a love interest in their parent's lives as the parent either being disloyal to a divorced or deceased spouse or as a threat to their affections or financial interests. There's not much you can do about it without risking your boyfriend being forced to take sides. By the same token, he should not be blind to the potential animosity of his daughter and how it affects your relationship with him.

With younger children, they usually don't want anyone trying to "replace" Mom or Dad and often come around once they realize that "the significant other" isn't trying to do that. There aren't enough facts here for any indication of what might be going on. I really hope I'm wrong, I much prefer to look at the world as a glass half full too.
