It has been 15 months which is by far a record for me. I never even gave the fish a permanent name as I didn't think it would be around this long. My DD got it as a party gift. She never named it. It is red so I have called it Scarlett. It has also been called Fishy, but mostly just the fish. lol

All I know is that you have to make sure the temperature and salinity and oxygen concentration and cleanliness and food are all right for the specific fish. Glad she's better.
