Also, don't know what to do with kitties for three weeks. But that's all a maybe at this point anyway. It's snowing here. A little bit of winter. It's been SUPER mild here. How's your weather?

I called the guy who hired me, another vet, the next day and two days after that, and left messages. Eventually he emailed me that he had been in town but wasn't anymore and I should email him or wait another week. I did email him that I would like some explanations because no concerns were EVER mentioned and I think I deserve to discuss it with someone. He still has not called or emailed back, and it is a week since I sent the email. He does actually have someone higher than him. I called her and she called back within 24hrs. She didn't know what had happened though. But since she hires for other hospitals in Michigan, she said she would gladly keep me in mind and call me if she hears anything she has questions about. I think that it was because they just weren't busy enough to support another vet, but the secretary implied that I had not done a good job. I was really upset about it for days. But now I'm more angry because I think I did a great job and that they would be lucky to have me work for them, and they are really not so great when they won't even communicate with people! There aren't that many jobs here. But DH is really unhappy with his job at the moment and says by this weekend he will know if he's going to start applying elsewhere. So, either this weekend we will know we're staying and I'll start applying again, or we'll be going somewhere else, and I'll wait until we're there. *Sigh* Turmoil. You probably didn't need all that, but thanks for letting me vent some more. If DH stays at his job, he will have three weeks in Germany, near Hannover. I might go, and was thinking of exploring Spain. We probably won't be going to England because I've been three times and DH has never been and can't get off enough time while in Europe to give it a fair shake. Yay for planning Disney trips! Weather is still very mild today. I did not ever think I would go to the zoo when it's 37 degrees though. I'm adapting!

I'm trying to catch up on the work I missed, I'll try to post pics on fb of our cruise!! OMG!! I met Jack Sparrow!! He was so funny!!

DH's boss just told him that the project with Hannover is definitely going to happen. If we can believe him, it looks like we're staying here (other than the Europe trip). I'm starting a apply for jobs here again, but DH has also posted his resume on Monster because he feels he can't trust his boss completely since he's been told before it will happen and it keeps being postponed. I'll let you know once we are sure. Jack Sparrow, eh? Sounds like you had a great time on your cruise AHH?

I'm reading a book about Britain currently, by an American, and there are so many different cultural things. It's hilarious. He had a very funny part about how many people in England act like WDW is closer to them than the rest of Europe.

Of course, the British are all aware, in an abstract sort of way, that there is a substantial landmass called Europe nearby and that from time to time it is necessary to go over there to old Jerry a drubbing or have a holiday in the sun, but it's not nearby in any meaningful sense in the way that, say, Disney World is. If your concept of world geography was shaped entirely by the content of British newspapers and television, you would conclude that America must be about where Ireland is, that France and Germany lie roughly alongside the Azores, that Australia occupies a hot zone somewhere in the region of the Middle East, and that pretty much all other sovereign states are either mythical... or can only be reached by spaceship."
