Biggest issue is that the boss hates giving any time off and won't allow substitutes, so vets within the practice group (6 of us) have to cover each other. I am getting two days off for a wedding in Seattle in August because I asked for it before I signed my contract. And I get two days off around New Years so I am planning to go to LA to see all my family. Too short a trip for DL though! Dang it. Just to vent a little, our new 12-month rental contract has a clause in it that they can raise the rent whenever they want. I thought we signed a fixed-rate lease to avoid that. We're discussing before signing. But apparently under Michigan law they can raise it in the middle if they need to to cover a utility or tax increase. We'll at least make them put that in the contract, with the word "documentable". If things don't go well, we might start house-searching, but we really were hoping to spend another year in the apartment before deciding if we're sticking here for >5 years. Okay, I'll stop venting and rambling.

Boy Smeds, you sure do talk a lot. I wonder how many posts the plane had before it got its' license revoked. Smeds - Dallas had some crazy hail last night. Some of it baseball. I thankfully, only saw it on the news as it was further East than I am.
