Me too! But I won't be claiming a spot at 2 pm for a 9 pm parade, and I couldn't tell you the last time I was still awake at 11 pm. I'll have to take my chances closer to 8:00 and hope for the best.

I also wonder how many people see that and think that it's supposed to be a drum. Given that neither Tinkerbell nor Peter Pan (the characters on the float) have any particular relation to bass drums, it seems like an interesting choice. If you're familiar with MSEP, there's definitely a connection to its opening float, but I even wonder how many people knew that was supposed to be a drum. That was based on this drum, which was a staple in many early DL parades, but has since disappeared into the ether:

Much like the Aquadunk water coaster on the cruise lines (a play on the AquaDuck on other DCL ships, which is a play on aqueduct), it seems like this reference may have been taken one step too far for regular guests to really understand. At least it looks really cool, so everybody will enjoy it regardless!

Mack's truck was cool. It uses LED bulbs in a 3D arrangement.
The costumes could have been brighter. And some castmembers (especially Tinkerbell) had "antennas" sticking out of their heads with lights at the tip to shine light in the face. For others, you can't see the dancer's face.

And, I thought the music was really good. Really catchy beat that puts everyone in a good mood. The Owl City song (from Wreck it Ralph) has a really good beat and melody. Of course you also have the baroque hoedown from MSEP in a new arrangement tied in.

That's a shame. The photos and videos I've seen look crystal clear, so I was hoping it looked the same way in the park. I'm really excited to see Mack in person, since the 3D thing has intrigued me for years

I think that the dark faces is actually a result of the costumes being too bright. With MSEP, it was fairly easy to see the performers' faces, since the lights were relatively dim; there wasn't a huge difference between the bright spots and the dark spots. But since the LEDs are so bright, they essentially blind you to the darker areas nearby, like when someone shines a flashlight in your face

They said that they already turned the LEDs down because they were too bright, but perhaps they could take it a little further. In a lot of the photos, you can see the light "reflecting" off of the nearby pavement, which isn't exactly a reflective surface. Yes, doing this would lose some of the pop, but I think it might help to show off some of the details (though I like the faceless dancers with the Cars unit, and their synchronized outfits; that's probably the best choreography I've seen in the parade)
