Disneyland Forever - We stood just north of the Wizard of Bras porch on MS and had a good view of the Castle and the tip top of the Matterhorn. It was a perfect spot to experience all of the digital projections, aerial performers, flames, laser beams, search lights, snow, and fireworks that comprise this show. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the Let it Go segment was my favorite. I watch a little girl near me on her dad's shoulderd flailing her arms belting out the song as "snow" fell around her and I remembered my own childhood visits to Disneyland and how special that experience was for her. Bravo Disney! My only complaint is that the music is LOUD. It was like being at a Beyonce concert. Hopefully they'll adjust things as they work out kinks in the program. WoC Celebrate - I was surprised by the amount of new effects in this show, particularly the new lighting and prjections on Screamin and the Funwheel. There's a remarkable animated sequence where Dumbo is projected onto Mickey's face on the Funwheel and then he appears to slide down to his mother's trunk on a giant mist screen below. It was one of those "how did they do that" moments. The Star Wars segment was linked to Star Tours, which then segued awkwardly to the new movie teaser. In a show about the history of Walt and DL this seemed out of place and unnecessary. As others have said, Neil Patrick Harris' segments bring down what would otherwise be an excellent show.

For the parade, we stood by the gaslamp and double trash cans next to Coke Corner. There's also one one the other side at the Nikon Photo shop. Great place to watch the parade. And as soon as the parade is over, you can walk to the the Bra porch/Penny arcade area of MS to see the fireworks. As soon as the fireworks are over, rush to the porch and have a seat to relax and watch the rush of humanity try to exit the park.

No, not really, although they still have some kinks to work out with crowd control. We took a chance and watched from the Main Street Depot last night hoping to grab a bench up there about an hour before start time. The crowd control people gave conflicting information about where we could and couldn't stand (the frontline benches in the center are reserved for families in Make A Wish), but we ended up watching Paint the Night from the left side of the platform. Afterward we were allowed to stand direct center behind the resrved section for the fireworks! Wow! As soon as it was over we ditched out on a DLRR train to NOS to see Fantasmic. If you are going to see the show twice on your vacation I highly recommend making the attempt to watch both shows from this vantage point. "How have the crowds been in general?" Typical for summer, although I don't think I've ever seen so many people here so late into the evening. We passed the second performance of Paint the Night on the way out yesterday and there were just as many people lined up for the last parade as there were for the first one.
