I swear he almost said "..in season 1.."

It was really blatant and unnecessary. What about Kate's horse? Was he that too? How did he end up stuck as Locke? I'm assuming he was Yemi, but the horse..?

And I totally think he might be the dog the whole time too and the dog is really dead.

Lpidus is the only question mark, but I can't see how he would have survived - but Jin surviving the freighter explosion and getting back on the island at the exact required bearing quickly enough to time shift makes no sense either.

There only needs to be one Jacob "candidate" left - no one else matters.

Only one of them is going to survive.

I think it would have been better if they delayed showing us sideways world beyond Jack talking to Desmond on the plane in the premiere, until after a few high impact deaths. Now, I'm like, "hurry up and die already," on the island.

I'm guessing she came to the island the same way everyone else did. From somewhere else at one point. She was selected as protector of the island, she made Jacob the protector, and now Jacob is looking for another protector. There were probably many protectors before the Mother.

I would like to know more about the Light. Part of my religious belief says that each man is born with "The Light of Christ" that lets us know good from evil, and even gives us life.

Was "Mother" a smoke monster? She seemed to be able to kill off a tribe and destroy an entire village by herself.

At the end of last season, when we first met the MIB, we learned he could not kill Jacob directly, he needed to find a "loophole" which turned out to be Ben.

Then last night, they reinforced this by the Mother saying she made it so the brothers couldn't kill each other. Consistent with what he learned last year.

But then Jacob throws his brother in the light hole, and this causes his brother to die, dead body and all. But it couldn't have been Jacob's act that did it, because of the protection. Something in the light hole had to do it, and it seems like the answer is Smokey. And now it has been released. But if Smokey is something else, why couldn't it kill Jacob directly instead of needing Ben to do it?

I can fanwank that Smokey is fused with the MIB somehow, and the protection against killing his brother was still in effect. But I don't want to be guessing on something like this with only 3 episodes left.

But somehow that doesn't feel right.

Not sure if mother was a smoke monster, but she sure didn't have a problem killing anyone, from the very beginning when she killed the twins mother until the end. Either she was a smoke monster or just felt that she was justified in doing what ever it took to protect the light.
