I have to go back and rewatch the episode where Jack finds the bodies. My favorite explanation so far was when Hurley said that maybe the skeletons were their own and they got time traveled to the past and died there. LOL. This episode really brings up the question of "Who do you think should take over as the Islands Protector?" In my mind it has to be Hurley, he is getting all the visits from dead guys so he is clearly more in tune with the spiritual side of things... Plus Everybody Loves Hugo.

The name of the episode in which we first see the skeletons of the MiB and his "Mother" is the episode "House of the Rising Sun." The game that young MiB (Or Boy in Black) finds ont he beach is called senet and is one of the oldest games in the world. In ancient Egypt Senet boards were placed alongside graves for use in the afterlife. Something I noticed is that the BiB seemed to have the same affection for Senet as Locke had for Backgammon (a game that is also quite ancient.) Another Interesting detail we see is that Jacob learns the art of Tapestry Making which we see the results of the episode "The Incident" along the walls of the temple in the foot statue. We also saw the wine bottle Jacob uses to show Richard (Ricardo) how the island works. My other question is how the Mother managed to kill the village and fill the well so quickly.

So it may just be a thing to do with the "gods of the island" is that you have to kill them before they talk to you. So she was not necassarily the Smoke Monster. This is a question that I do not think we will see an answer to in the series though. (To little time... to many questions)

It's still light out so we assume it's the same day.. but he could have been down there for a few days with the island healing him.

I've already told him I will give him my dvd's of the seasons and then he can ask questions after that.

I am riveted by how this is coming together. I don't think all our questions will be answered but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I also feel that this shouldn't be the final season, the writers are so clever and I could be entertained by this show's puzzles for a very long time.
