First, is the previously mentioned Smokey/Richard attack. Based, on what they spent an entire episode this year on...Richard can't die. So he better be alive in the finale. But I can't help but think he actually is dead, as they eliminate characters to wrap up the show.

See Charles Widmore...they spend 3 years or so building him up as this big adversary; obsessed with the island. Then shot in a closet. Not exactly payoff matching the setup.

I just realized how much they set up these mysterious Big Bads in the early seasons, only for them to just suddenly drop out of the story as if they were a minor subplot.

Remember the first hints of the Dharma Initiative...who was this mysterious scientific group that mysteriously disappeared? While it provided some fun during the time travel portion, it didn't exactly live up to the creepiness that they were implying in the early reveals. Just remembering the "ooh ahh-ness" that everyone felt when Locke saw the map on the back of the blast door in the hatch. I miss that kind of excitement.

I guess we still have Ben, but he is not nearly as mysterious as he was when he was first revealed. Wiped out Dharma, who was this strange and sad boy? I suspect he will be involved in the resolution of the island/MIB. But will that part of the ending be grand, or just a minor scene, cut short by the need to resolve the storylines of the Oceanic 815 surviors in sideways world?

    Just some internal consistency, please.

I been watching, its pretty decent for the most part, but it has dropped the ball on a lot too. The answers have been so lame, I stopped caring about them a long time ago now. The characters are still running around and they JUST learned why they are on this island? And the whole Jacob/MiB storyline does nothing for me to be honest, I liked it when the show was moving closer to a sci fi/time travel plot. Its sad Dharma and the Others are basically just a footnote in all of this.

That said, I'm looking forward to the finale. THe last episode was very good even if as someone said just wasted Widmores death (he was one of my favorite characters and I expected him to go out big) and I think the finale will wrap it up decently.

We'll see but its been clear to me based on this last season LOST should definitely end after this season. It doesnt need to go on longer than this, but it has been quite a ride.

No movie, but you'll apparently have to get the DVD.

    <a href="http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/05/20/lost-dvd-extras/" target="_blank">http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/05...-extras/</a>

"EW has confirmed a TV Guide report that the producers plan to address a selection of baffling bits of unfinished business on the season 6 DVD, which goes on sale in August. An ABC insider says the set will include “new content that addresses some of the unanswered questions in an entertaining way,” though disputed reports that there could be as much as 20 minutes worth of mystery-resolution material."

And of those the only one I see remotely being resolved is Eloise.

But speaking of Juliet, does anyone think we'll find out why women who conceived on the island could not carry to term? Another big mystery set-up, setting up major angst for Sun to get off the island, that has just disappeared.

I'm really excited and saddened for Sunday. Excited because I want to know how the story will end. Saddened because they may not be another show like this. It was one of the best written, best acted shows ever on tv. And it asked to do actually use your brain while watching. Sure it was frustrating at times. But for a show to cover, faith, science, time travel, alternate universes, who we are, where are we, what are we. This is going to be a show discussed for years and I'm grateful I was there from day 1.

This makes no sense to me. We didn't even know there was a mysterious light until 2 weeks ago. I could never be satisfied if the answers from Season 1, 2, 3 etc were skipped to provide an answer from something just introduced.
