I'm betting that for every person who comes to DL multiple times a month, there's someone like me that only gets there a few days a year.

Any annual pass to any theme park (or, things like ski resorts) will look absurd broken down this way. Universal works out to 36¢/day.

Thats true, but Universal doesnt have the fan base like DL does making Ap's not a huge issue. "On the other side of the argument are folks like me. Thats me too Dan, but this year the increase is making me rethink and only go once instead. Thats why there really should be something that can work for people only going 10 days a year and the people who are going 40 plus days should pay a little more. In a way the increase is a good thing for us because instead of all the mini DL trips we are able to save up and go to Hawaii.

Have a one gate price admission and then charge a separate fee for each time a guest rides an attraction. Further, their could be a 1 - 5 multi-tiered rating system. That way, a ride like Dumbo wouldn't be charged the same for a ride like Pirates.
Originally Posted By believe >>>Further, their could be a 1 - 5 multi-tiered rating system. <<< Wow, great idea. Instead of 1 - 5, we can give them letters. Like "A" for the least expensive ride, and "E" for the most expensive ride. ie, all the Mountains would require "E" tickets. On some attractions, you might give guests a freebee, like Lincoln.

I think the daily price for Disneyland should be the actual MILES from your home address to the park. So if you live 2,000 miles away, it'll cost you $2,000/day to visit. That sounds the most fair.

If you live 2,000 miles away, you've spent lots of money just getting there and will probably spend more for hotel, etc. Plus you've shown you're a true DL lover, not just someone for whom it's a convenient "backyard" park. So charge the person from 2,000 miles away 20 bucks and the person from 20 miles away 2,000 bucks. Solved.

Not like those people that spend $3000 on their vacation feel like they should be entitled to anything. My past experience tells me most of the problem people are everyone else, except for me.

Log on to your Futures Account to make a bid on the day of your upcoming visit. Log off of your Futures Account and log onto your Derivitives Market account. Here you will place a call for your Fast Passes, Dinner Reservations, Bathroom Breaks. Log out of your Derivitives Market Account and on to the Big Board where your Calls are waiting to be executed. Formulate your new Market Strategy once the Derivitives and Futures begin to tank. At that point the only thing left is to apply for a Bailout loan. Once the Bailout loan is granted, you need to generate new Calls for FastPass, Dinner Reservations and Potty Breaks. Your loan should be funded within 90 days of the Futures tanking as long as you submitted the loan application in triplicate with the Green Copy in the correct out going box, the yellow mimiographed and sent back to the loan department plus Derivitives market and the white copy fowarded on to the nearest restroom. Have a magical day!
