I predict doing this exact same thing many times over the coming years.

We ate there for our Candlelight dinner, since no discount attached to the package anyway and we figured we might as well eat at the only Epcot restaurant that doesn't give the discount. After our meal, I spoke with the manager and mentioned that the meal was great but that we wouldn't be back anytime soon because they didn't take the DDE. He acknowledged that I wasn’t the first person to mention that, and was glad that I did since he could report it back up the management chain.

The "Magic Your Way" ticket plan also includes special values for Florida residents who sometimes make shorter but more frequent visits.

Residents can choose from three savings options:

A third day free with the purchase of a two-day ticket.
Or 10 percent savings on a one-day base ticket.
Or free "Park Hopper" option added to a full-price one-day ticket.
"This is our way of thanking our home-state neighbors for their years of loyalty," Weiss said. "Floridians told us what they wanted, so we're giving them more flexibility and options that fit the way they visit Walt Disney World."

I think this is pretty good. How about you Floridians?

I can see her actually taking advantiage of the discount or parkhopper now.. but just in case, I'll keep trying to figure out a way we can meet up together and enjoy the holidays around the world when I am able to get out there.. =)

Something like this makes me think they might just go there and see what SeanYoda & I really enjoy about going to WDW and visiting so often. She doesn't believe that it's not the same every time or that it's more than just the rides & Mickey Mouse.. *grin*
