Sadly, although it hurts all paying out more, that is preferrable to a Disneyland Paris experience where there is little to no live entertainment, attractions needing maintenance, and other than 8 weeks in summer, the parks close sometimes as early as 6pm. That is the other option to deal with it if not increasing prices. Now I am not sure about you, but I would rather go to a park where I feel the saving has felt worth while than to go to one that has been cut to the quick.

Hope you manage to get your holidays sorted out sure does look like ours, will not be Disney this year...I may go in Dec...but my pass will expire when I am there...we were thinking of Late August thru early Sept.

I know that daily parking prices have also increased a lot in that time ($9 in late 2006, $15 today), but it still seems like a steep increase, especially in addition to the park ticket increases.

I would assume that there are no California laws regarding it, since I haven't gotten an announcement of it any other time they've upped the prices. I did get something in the mail a few weeks ago saying that the electricity company was going to increase rates, and was legally required to tell people, so I guess CA does have some regulations on stuff somewhat like this. I don't know if I've heard of an announcement being required anywhere else, either. I suppose if they sent out an announcment on their own accord, I might feel better about the increase (and decrease my spending at DLR for the remainder of the year to make up the difference), but the way they did it this time just really rubs me the wrong way. I know that they've had a lot of increases inthe past, but this time it just seems like so much more, and at just the wrong time.

So much for bringing the Magic of Disney to a number of Families this year..

People eventually will be crossing Disney off their list of places to go...Already people have changed their minds..our friends are no longer going this year..They can not afford the big jump in costs...most families live on a budget..Disney is out pricing themselves and soon will face a short fall of guests from abroad, hotels will suffer as well as other business's...as people who do still go, they will cut out other places , some one will suffer... It is a courtesy to to their Guests so they can best plan their holidays...and get their tickets bought before the increase hits...would they themselves like to pay their taxes before the deadline or after when it goes up 20 percent.. : )

Tasha***** If you are going to go a number of times the Premier pass makes sense...we can not afford the increase this year for the Family so we will not be going in August. Our Friends who had not purchased their tickets yet were very upset when we told them, they are on a fine budget and were just on the borderline, they can not afford the increase for 5 children and them selves they are very happy thou their kids had no idea..they are putting it off til next year..maybe in April as they don't want to be held hostage she said if they raise them again in june. She wishes they had known before hand.. we will maybe travel to the praries instead...save the balance for next year sometime ..hopefully before the next arm and two legged increase comes along.. So much for Disney being the happiest place on earth for some people..
