Oh, and also Bush is running the "be a kid again" promo where an adult ticket is only $47.95, that is $20 cheaper than AK. Since you are an AP at Bush you can realize what a great deal there passes are. You can get a 2006 "Fun Card" for $62 or you can get a 24 month "Gold Passport" for $145. If you are the traveling type you can get a 24 month "Platinum Passport" good at all eight Bush parks for $299

^I dont get this...? One day is one day is one day, not five days. Yes theyre running a special now but it doesnt last forever. Also that is for online advanced purchasing only.

Why AK? Im talking about any park at WDW. Comparing theme park to theme park...How much entertainment you get for the price you pay for a day.

Vacation is your time. Make the most of it with a Busch Gardens Anytime."
"*Valid 6 consecutive days from first visit."

So actually it is a six day pass. Not that you would want to go all six days, but that is a great deal. Also as far as promo prices go, yes they are temporary, but all theme park prices are temporary. WDW prices went up twice in just eight months. As far as the online purchasing only, just buy your tickets online. I would never pay gate prices at a theme park, not WDW, Disneyland or anywhere else. Of course WDW no longer offers a online purchase discount on one day passes, but Bush and Universal does. Universal one day pass online purchase $59.75.

Its all about what the public is willing to pay. Obviously the public will pay more for WDW tix. Just like some people will pay $100+ for a pair of brand name sneakers.

Universal is a good brand name and offers an arguably just as good or some may say even better product than Disney. IOA is one of the best parks in the world, even better in some accounts than the MK.

Belive me, I LOVE Disney, much more than anyone I personally know, but I do know when they are not offering quality for the money (shuttering attractions and hiking prices). Universal is not much better but they are offering a better value.

That is strictly opinion. WDW and Universal are not 'equal products.' They both offer different things. Sure both are 'entertainment' but it depends on your own personal preferences.

Perhaps. But in the end what will influence how much a customer is willing to pay is perceived (vs. actual) value. Branding plays an important role in this, and Universal's theme park brand does not have the same cachet as Disney's.

You mean that they aren't offering as much quality as they used to. This is probably true.

<<Universal is not much better but they are offering a better value<<

Its supply and demand. If people aren't buying your product (whatever the reason) you have to discount the price. Which is fine with me, as I do like Universal's Florida Parks (USH on the other hand...), so I don't mind saving the money. But no doubt there are many people who visit WDW but never set foot in USF or IOA, even though they are bargains.

Even if you're visiting just for the parks and do not want a "resort" feel, I think the setup, with the reveal of the two parks is well executed. Instead of walking through a huge lot you get some speedramps and a stroll through a shopping/eating district.

I think Universal Florida and Disneyland resort both did a very good job of transforming their old flat parking lots into a better looking route for day guests who are parking. With the addition of a nice buildup. Sure the parking isn't as close for either, but I think it classed' up both locales.
