I believe APs are supposed to have their own turnstile for EE, but doesn't sounds like that was helping. I hope Disney figures this out as I can see why folks would be angry!

Bottom line: It seems like bringing an ID card would be a simple solution but it's not working. And taking people's photos was Ok for most folks but many were very not-ok with it. And explaining all the reasons why was slowing things down even more. People were already mad about the holdup, and then Disney was making them feel as if they were suspects in a fake-ticket/fraud situation. We were there for mm on Tuesday Jan. 8th at 8:30. All gates operating. Lineups for every gate went all the way to DCA gates and then doubled back more than halfway back to DL turnstyles again. My husband didn't bother with early entry, he arrived later to the park (about 10:30, normal park hours was opening at 10) and he got in with little to no wait because the rush had subsided by then. But mm was ruined for most everyone that day. I'm like most people and definitely willing to have my photo taken, but I still think there has got to be a better solution that would be faster.

But I guess there are those that are still out of school/college. I did early entry at DL on January 10th (the next mm day for DL) and didn't encounter anything like what you described. I got there very close to 9AM and there were only about 6 people in any of the lines. I'm wondering if they if they improved things between the two days. I didn't find it slowing down anything at all since they did the picture taking while you were in line before the turnstile. They were ALSO requiring photo I.D. at the turnstile and this DID slow things down as the person had to fumble with getting their I.D. out or not having one. One thing I also found aggravating and always gets me is the person that after having their ticket scanned at the turnstile decides that this is a good time to have a lengthy question and answer session with the person at the turnstile. It would be nice if these people could be directed to some other cast member. It is amazing how some people take 10X longer than others to go through the turnstile area. I think one of the biggest advantages of a no-ticket taker system (ala the WDW wristbands) is that people will keep flowing rather than picking that time for a Q&A session.

I mentioned this in another thread and people thought i was crazy thinking people wouldnt have ID with them.

That's just plain stupid, and they deserve to lose their money. They're quite lucky to not have gotten mugged when they went to pick up the tickets, quite frankly.

I really wonder how much revenue is Disney losing via ticket sharing.

It took us about 10 extra minutes to get in on Friday night (only a few people in front of us) due to the group who needed their picture taken. Our friends who got there later then us had about 1/2 hour waits. In our case, after each person in the group had their picture taken, they got back in line right where they were (as a group) which backed up the rest of us. If they had been sent to the end of the line, or even just been put into the line, as they finished their picture, the line could have kept moving istead of being held up until they were done. Disneyland needs to go back to the old way of doing AP entrys by designating gates just for us, until they find another way to handle the multi-day tickets. The APers don't have to wait for pictures, finding driver licenses, etc. Our picture flashes on screen & we're good to go.
