The Hat, well there is a reason, I'm sure, for it's placement and I doubt that anything will ever move it, ever unless some corporation decides to hand over huge bundles of money to sponsor the Great Movie Ride and insists that it be moved. Don't hold your breath on that one.

That being said, they did it under the impression that it would be taken down not too long after it was put up. 2 years ago during the special Q&A they did for the Studios 20th anniversary, the creative lead for DHS said everyone at WDI wants to take it down, but are being held up.
