Also he has designed Hotels in Japan, Egypt, Rome, etc. Has designed office buildings, theaters, hotels & museums all across the country. I've been a fan of his style for some time. Oh, I also LOVE his Tar-jay line as well.

Having those things on the lagoon starting around 3PM really detracts from it's appearance.

DCR! is shown fairly early in the day (the last show is at 1:00), so they may even lower that platform after they're done with it, but I doubt that. Keep in mind that to build these platforms, the entire bay was drained for close to a year. While they may be able to drain parts of WS Lagoon to build stuff, it's a lot harder to do with a body of water so large, and so deep. Add in that it isn't filtered water (though there are debates about how much they've filtered Paradise Bay since the platforms were built), and there may be larger-scale currents, which could wreak havoc on any permanent infrastructure they try to build in there. And just to be safe, they didn't even attempt to lower the platforms for WOC's entire first summer, just in case they didn't come back up. That's just not something I'd like to see them have to do in World Showcase. Maybe they could find a way to make the process of moving the barges easier, so that they wouldn't have to do it as early. With a show that's been running for decades (and over a decade in its current configuration), it's kind of shocking how long it takes them to set it up. >>Having those things on the lagoon starting around 3PM really detracts from it's appearance.<< It's a particular bummer that they do it that early, since WS doesn't even open until 11. And the area looks so nice at sunset, but you just can't get a good picture across the lagoon with all that stuff there. Still, I think the show is worth that inconvenience (though I do wish they didn't start with it so early)

Instead of putting up scaffholding around it, they simply removed it from the top of the building put it backstage. I heard it was laid on its side, which made it easier to get to all the different parts of it. After 3-4 days, they returned it to its original location on the roofs. Given how shortly it was gone, the length of time after the Swan and Dolphin were added, and that it was replaced in its original location (at least the current location at the time), I doubt they ever moved it's onstage location.
