They have the Earful Tower for that. Which is SUPPOSED to be the park's icon. Or so I thought.

I have no problem with the wand, but I guess I can see why so many do. I always thought it was kind of nice, but maybe that's because I've never had the opportunity to see Spaceship Earth in person without the wand.

I can see it now in someone's front yard in Akron.

Of course, the winner would have to pay for shipping.

As for the hat, I like the look and the construction - however for those who say the Chinese Theatre doesn't convey the magic -- remember this is/was the Disney- MGM studios. What says Hollywood and Movies like the original Chinese theatre where so many premiers were held and so many stars went to cast their hands ? This was supposed to be a park dedicated to movies - how does the Sorcerer's hat do that more than an icon of Hollywood ?

I have no problem with the hat IF they move it - whether to the courtyard or elsewhere --

I DO think that pix of the SSE are better without hte wand, but it's kind of neat anyway.

I agree. It is the original icon. It might not be the biggest or the fanciest, but it is the original.

IMO Cindi's is too big and overbearing.

SB is the original icon for me. But the Chateu, Mt Prometheus, Tree of Life and SSE are also pretty awesome.

I think youre living in the 50's. Perhaps you are the same persons who want People Mover back in Disneyland? SB Castle is a doll house. Cute, but nothing in comparison to the gandoise nature of Sleeping Beautys majestic castle. Whenever I take people to Disneyland, they laugh at the castle, howw puney it is (which it is!)

That's how I feel too. Cindy's dominates the landscape too much. You can see it from the parking lot.

I guess that for some people size is everything. Of course, when compared to a real Castle, Cindy's is tiny and puny as well, but that doesn't mean it would be better to replace it with a replica of Windsor Castle.

Guests do not get to see the castle until they arrive at the TTC. You can't see the castle for the parking lot, unless.... you happen to be high up on the monorail.

Living or wanting to be in the past again is part of it for me I guess. The future, circa 1983 was downright Disney-like anyhow.

If everything in WDW is built around a theme or a storyline, what the heck is the story with waving a wand over a big silver ball? It is supposed to represent Earth as a spaceship.

Since the wand has a star on top, change the rest of the structure to look like a comet or something.
