Why don't they add some "Cars" theming to the attraction? I think that would spruce it up ok. But only if they do it right, and even then the theming wouldn't fit the area as well as I would like, but at least then I might ride it.... "And the hat ? I miss the days when you could look down that street and ACTUALLY see the theater at the end of it! I really don't see a connection between a giant blue hat and early Hollywood! Wow that is a giant pet peeve of mine!

I would love a Cars themed Autopia...you could ride in Tow-Mater or McQueen or whatever...that woudl be fun! You coudl go through Radiator Springs and see sights of the area while you drive. That would be neat! Don't knwo why it would go in Tomorrowland, but I guess it could morph into Fantasyland or Toon Town if needed.
Originally Posted By vbdad55 <I think the connection is that Fantasia was one of the most successful movies that Walt had done up to that point< Fantasia, while pioneering in many ways was a financial disaster when it was released. The film, with a production cost of more than $2 million (about four times more than an average live-action picture), initially failed at the box-office (partially due to the expensive installation of "Fantasound" sound reproduction equipment in theatres), Fantasia's popularity really didn't grow until the late 60's, almost 30 years after it was made.

So I guess Disney has it with teasing people most of the time!

If they do have something for the 25th, maybe they will do it as the wand's last hurrah. I can always hope, right?
