What's funny about this is that I had not even considered this option - I've gotten so far away from dealing with CDs (other than stuff purchased on them that soon gets ripped, er, I mean backed up, onto my computer or iPod) that I hadn't considered what you're suggesting. At least under US copyright law, it would seem that what you're suggesting is completely legal as long as you transfer "all copies" to the purchaser, which might consist of you giving them your legitimate backup copy and deleting the copy from your computer. It certainly passes the smell test.

I tend to only buy the music to TDR shows I enjoy hence why I don't need to buy that many. I think I have Gift of Dreams, Dreams on Parade and the 20th boxsets and that is it from the recent run at TDL. Plus the best of the scores...Mythica.
