I know the Bus drivers would be subject to D.O.T. rules. The number of drivers WDW has employed determins the number of drivers receive a random drug test each month.

In cases of damage over a certain dollar amount, serious injury or death, the driver is automaticly tested.

For Monorail drivers it would depend on if they are classified as public transportation or as a attraction ride.

    Totally agree in general.

But some folks don't. And some folks aren't capable.

I don't think parents should be faulted for letting children ride bikes in an area where Disney allows/encourages it.

If this is a complete accident, then having a parent riding behind or in front wouldn't have made one bit of difference.

    >>The boy and an 11-year old girl were riding bikes near the Fort Wilderness Resort area when the accident occurred, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

The boy has been identified as St. Petersburg resident Chase Brubaker. Authorities initially reported Brubaker was 10 years old.

According to authorities, the bus struck Brubaker on Big Pine Drive, a two-lane roadway on the Fort Wilderness campground. The children were riding on the sidewalk when the boy crossed into the southbound lanes.

"The physical evidence shows that the little boy hit the side of the bus," said Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes at an afternoon news conference at Walt Disney World.<<
