I wonder what the portion sizes are going to be like.

If overall people didn't like it, they wouldn't do it.

    Doobie. <<

I'm glad you both had a great experience.

It will probably be even better next year for you. The DDP will probably only go up a couple of dollars while the regular menu price will go up a couple of dollars for each item.

Well, we've been over the downside to it (although I'd be glad to go over my reasons again).

But as to people doing it, sure they do. And I bet most think they're getting 'a deal.' Because Disney has conditioned them to that.

    It's marketing might.

Same thing they trot out when they do anything.

And just because something is popular doesn't make it a good thing (see: WalMart, Taco Bell, pro wrestling, reality TV and W).

    ~$24 veggie entrees are magical!~

Here's the problems I have with it, strictly based on my experience. Remember everybody is entitled to my opinion.

Quality of food has gone down.
Selection on menus has gone down.
Availability of restaurants has gone down
Freedom to dine spontaniously has gone down. Overall vacation experience has gone down. However there is an UP side to it. Food prices have gone up. That's so you will perceive the dining plan as a great bargain. Oh I forgot the other upside of it. I get to pay in advance so I don't have to worry about it while I'm on vacation. It doesn't matter that I'm paying for something that I might not use, but Mickey loves me for it.
