    A step in the right direction, IMHO. At least now they are only starting 4 weeks early (in Advent).

    There's a family in my area that has Christmas decorations up as early as October. As much as I love Christmas, anything earlier than mid-November (and I think even that's pushing it) is just crazy - CRAZY I TELL YOU!

    It was not lost on me I was buying Christmas ornaments while a small amount of Halloween stuff was on display- and it is mid July.

    So, once again, competition inspires more crass commercialization and silly ideas.
