Meanwhile, the Disney Company is laying off cast members left and right at WDW speaking out of the other side of their collective mouths saying its not going to have an impact on the guest experience.

If I were CEO I would have forgone the $13.9 Million USD bonus and perhaps more. There certainly were times when Walt sacrificed to make sure his Company and employees endured. Its too bad that Iger doesn't share the same concern for the longevity of Walt's Dream and Legacy.

In MK merchandise, I know one manager was let go in Frontierland/Liberty Square, and 2 in Adventureland.

That's because you have a passion for Disney. Don't you wish the present day Disney executives did also.

WHOA! When did this happen? Today? Geez Louise. I'd like to see someone who appreciates and respects Jim's talents snap him up since Disney apparently doesn't.

One of these days, the big boys in Burbank are going to wake up and realize they cut too deeply and destroyed the Legacy that they should have been working hard to preserve.

    From what I've heard today...

    DAK Attractions got hit
Catering/Convention Services/Special Events was affected.. Only 1 mgr off our team (so far) but most teams wernt that lucky
Cast Services took a hit (which is prob the newest dept- its only been around about a year..) but I've heard mixed things about that area from they were all let go to it was just some.. But I did read today that all the support offices were closed which doesn't bode well (as it was a great dept..) :(

So they are coming just shy of the 500 so they can do it immediately.
