No matter what they do, they can't really win in this situation.

Originally Posted By Princessjenn5795 "But he has a permit to carry, so he's trustworthy." Not necessarily. You do not have to demonstrate trustworthiness, responsibility, or even that you know how use a gun in order to get a carry permit...most states just require a criminal background check showing you have not committed a felony. There is a huge difference between not committing a felony and being trustworthy. I think Disney handled this okay. This guy mostly comes off as an idiot who honestly thought his carry permit meant he could carry his gun in the park. They sent him and his gun home, and made it clear that weapons are banned from the parks. I think banning him for life at that point would be going a little overboard, and would ultimately make people sympathetic to the guy and make Disney look unreasonable. Now, if the guy is ever caught bringing in a weapon again, he should be banned for life.

I don't see them rallying to his defense. He put other Disney guests in great danger. A kid could have picked up the gun and fired it. This could have ended tragically. If this doesn't result in a lifetime ban from Disney property, then what does it take? I'm hoping that Disney is just trying to downplay the incident, but in reality lets this dunce know that he is not allowed back under any circumstances.

Granted he should have checked before he got out of the ride car, but maybe he didn't get banned because it was truley an unfortunate accident..a horrible one, but accident none the less.

But with BOTH A and B it should be no question.
