For me personally, having worked for Disney and some time in Imgaineering, I can tell you that things at Disney don't always work the way that they planned them to. Some day I will share stories about opening some of your favorite attractions and the surprises that we found after construction and once we moved into a building. While I am sure there are engineers at Disney who think they understand it all, I know that there are probably lots and lots of unknowns out there. That is what makes me concerned. In my current work I talk about unintended consequences. When you go in one direction thinking you have everything thought out and then you get slammed from another direction that you didn't even consider.

As a student of Disney and theme parks I am looking forward to seeing how all of this ends up working. It is going to be an exciting time for us Disney watchers

In general there will many more guests using FP under the new system. But they'll be limited to 3 a day and of those 3 only one will be for a D or E-ticket attraction, 1 will be for B or C-ticket attraction and 1 will be for an A ticket or an experience (Parade or Fireworks viewing). Let's assume 25K people at DHS, a moderately busy day, and four D or E ticket Fastpass options, (ST3D, RNRC, ToT, and TSMM). On a normal day those attractions would devote 50% or more of their capacity to Fastpass distributing over 36,000 fastpass tickets between them. If you can only get a ticket for one of those four a day, there would be 11,000 fewer FP used each day, meaning the standby queue for the big rides would move that much faster.

Yes, it will suck when an attraction like Back Lot Tours that doesn't need FP gets one anyway, the standby for that will go up for no reason because there are a limited number of B and C Ticket attractions at DHS.

I think that we are going to see this roll out very, very slowly. I think Disney has been smart not to rush to get this out there. I think there are so many variables involved that even Disney is trying to figure it out. I know a couple of people working on this project and they don't seem to have all the answers themselves. And of course I drive them crazy because I ask such fun questions of What if? I said earlier this week that a good friend was involved in a test run of the wristbands a couple of weeks back and loved it. The problem is that the testing is relatively small in numbers. I can't imagine what it will look like when all resort rooms and AP holders get involved
