The average customer of a Disney value resort is 2 parents with kids and the need to save a buck. Kids like all the kitchy decor, and the parents like the price. Do you think there's a parent on the planet who would prefer giant yo-yo's and bowling pins to the elegant and beautifully landscaped walk around the Lago Dorado Lagoon in the Coronado Springs Resort?

That said, I do prefer the moderates to the values, but in the end we don't pay that much more for the mods.

However, if in was affluent enough to stay in the Poly, or the Tempo, or and other Resort, imwould takemthe time to enjoy my hotel, too. Especially Poly.

If they are, then I suspect it would be pretty easy to convert the existing buildings. I'm not familiar with the layout of those suites, but they are comprised of a pair of neighboring rooms. I had assumed that they were rooms that were off of the same walkway, but it's entirely possible that they are two rooms that stretch the width of the building, connecting on the 'short' wall where the bathroom and sink area are. If that's the case, then they won't need the walkway on the 'other' side of the building, allowing it to just be a flat wall. While the finish on the building in the drawing doesn't look the same, it does have the same general shape as the All Stars and Pop Century buildings. It's the same height, and has the inset area behind Crush where the stairs and elevators are. Given that a couple of these buildings already exist, I would be very surprised if they were building new ones with a central indoor hallway.

A deluxe would cost us almost $2000 more - and that's Wilderness Lodge, which is one of the cheaper deluxes.

There isn't a creative bone in Iger's body - every new development is based on marketing, not on a creative idea. I hope he gets kicked out the door very very soon.

Just because the Disney company is changing from what it was 30 years ago doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

The remaining pads will be used for the new suite blocks - there are no existing buildings on those pads at present. Hence the interior corridors and flat frontages.

He was well-liked and popular and shuffled around corporate offices a lot. He worked at virtually every major unit of ABC/Cap Cities until he was President/COO at the time of the Disney merger. Tom Murphy adored Bob - he really was his protege. It sounds like there won't be any LP-sponsored parties to celebrate Bob's fifth anniversary at the helm in two weeks time (it is October 1). Off to bed.....

As long as they make money off of them...quality and having a superior product is forgotten. Terrible. I'd take a 1990's Eisner ANY DAY.

That's all I do. Why pay 75-90 bucks for out door corridors when I can pay 60-80 for Indoor Corridors, Dream Beds, and free breakfast? I would only stay in Disney if I can hit a upper end hotel. Value isn't worth it.
