But I am really excited about this new Star Tours, much more than anything in DCA. MMC - they do have the series here in the UK from time to time, but it is soooo expensive to take the whole family. When I priced it up including transport and food, it was going to be about $700 for us. Too much I am afraid.

Funny how dramatic one year has changed things. It amazes me every weekend when I see box office amounts and I wonder who has the money to go to the movies and "give" it away to these celebrities? Mix that in with companies wanting to charge more but cut back on quality. That is when I realize how brilliant Disney has been with their pricing creating an addiction for each generation. Their new proposal setting up monthly payments that go on forever...we are all disney addicts and this is our meetingplace. Are we still laughing?

Ok, she might be right, but I am not so hardcore now. I counted the pins over the weekend with the kids, we have 100's. The pins are between 6 - 12 euros each, dependent on design. That is about $9-$18 each. What was I ever on?????!!!!! Thankfully the last few trips, I have only bought 1 pin and 1 vynal (I know, I feel dirty). Clothes and tableware isn't too bad, because you need to use those things. But OMG, it shows I have mental health problems. Star Tours gets even harder, as Star Wars is another passion of mine. So I may be sad, and buy some of the new merchandise. I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, I am not a frequent drinker, I rarely gamble, and going for fast food is a rarity these days as I want to see my Grand Children. I guess this is my vice (well travel and travel related souvenirs). Man, I wish we could really travel to other planets. Oh, well, at least Star Tours is more belivable than singing guppies, pies thrown at toys, and Mater spinning around. I am really psyched for STII. I do wonder if it will ever come to Paris (doubtful, they rather put on crap entertainment).

I remember having tears of joy when my son was chosen in Jedi Academy, and he got to fight both Darth Maul and Darth Vader (I know, continuity error). He was beaming, and so was I!

No way around it. There are certainly degrees of fandom just like their are degrees of mental illness ... <<I counted the pins over the weekend with the kids, we have 100's. For full disclosure, I probably have about 400 pins, but at least half were free (gifts, being at events etc) Out of the other 200, I'd venture to say that 125 were bought at discounts (often deep). And only one vinyl and that's all there ever will be. <<Star Tours gets even harder, as Star Wars is another passion of mine. It makes sense that they would just skip to the new version once they built it, but it is exciting that they are thinking of actually building it. It will bring a very different feel to the park (strangely, more realistic than much of what's there or planned in the westside expansion). But I do find it strange that TDL doesn't have any plans for it. I thought that they were the reason that the project really originated, and then they pulled out after being told that they would foot the bill for the new film and programming, which would then be copied into the other parks. Yes, TDR is a little preoccupied at the moment, but I'm still not sure that weren't thinking about it before the recent earthquake.
