"That 9-10 average is ridiculous.... Time things right and you can get done with what you want to hit by 2 PM in any park."

I'm a DL vet and I don't think I've ever done that, even when arriving at DL or the MK early in the day during slow seasons. Maybe I just don't have the correct move-in-and-attack attitude. Frankly that kind of park touring would be pretty un-fun to me.

I'd say your best bet would be a Thursday or Tuesday in my experience.
Lots of rides were walks ons or little to no wait when we where there Thursday in early December.
Go in an off season time too.

And Hans, of course you can't get anything done when you're idea of park touring is stopping every other store for a stiff drink!

Right, and not go to the bathroom, take a break on a bench, watch a show or parade, go to the bathroom, or eat anything all day.

I'm impressed. The one time I did it it took us 90 minutes to get through the line. Never again.

    Party pooper.

I still get it all in.
Although, I find it a bit stressful and get irritated as hell at my husband who prefers to do things your way, Hans.
BUT it can be done, if one would want to do it.

Then rode other things while people waiting 60 minutes long during the day.
And if you watch the fireworks from Fantasyland right by Dumbo where it's much less crowded, you can get in "line" for Peter Pan when it reopens after the fireworks, thereby being one of the first in line and eliminating the at least 30 minutes this ride would usually take out of your day. Then with the nanosecond the ride actually takes, you've only wasted a couple minutes of your day!

Nor do we... We just know how to move around. We are pretty much done with the west side of the MK by two, and that just leaves FL and TL, which are pretty easier to peruse.

But EPCOT? Always done by two. We have a formula. LOL

Are you doing every attraction, or just a handful of your favorites?

Whether it was Brooks or the ed, it's pretty obvious the point was to make Disney/TDO/Phil Holmes look good in a reputable publication.

I'd rather be at Sundance than on a Dream cruise in January myself ... I'm wondering if I'll run into him at NATPE next month.

Not unless you totally lose your senses/brains.

I had never been to TDL before last month. I was warned about the crowds and how folks routinely wait in 2-4 hour lines and sometimes see only a few attractions all day etc.

Guess what? My first day there (and a moderately crowded one) I somehow managed to hit 18 or 19 (have to check my notes) attractions, see THREE parades, eat two meals and shop and wander about. -- SHAMELESS PLUG AHEAD -- Part I of a Spirited Worldly Comparison will be up on a LP near you very, very soon! ... anyway ...

Folks that bitch and moan about not being able to see attractions (even on the busiest days) simply aren't planning or just demand to show up and do the most popular E-Tix at say noon and ... well, they set themselves up for bad days.

I've been at Disney parks on the busiest of days and I ALWAYS manage to see and do a fair amount of things.

I think we only skip JC, Tiki, and maybe the A tics, on the West Side of the park. Never really thought bout it....

Me? Loose my senses? Take Turnpike North to so somewhere South, Spirit! ;-)

I'll have to whip the parents into shape... LOL. I figure if we have 4 days for both parks it should work out. But this is still a few years away....

    Train
    Arcades
    Phantom Manor
    Big Thunder
    Tarzan Show
    Adventure Isle
    Aladdin Walk Through
    Pirates of the Caribbean
    the Castle and Dragon's Lair
    It's a Small World
    Alice's Curious Labrynth
    The Nautilus
    Space Mountain Mission 2
    Shopping

We enjoyed a three course lunch with wine at Walt's and watched the parade from above.

That was a record for DLP, and in order to do it, we abandoned the children with a slower party and seperated. It was also during school term time (to be fair, because lulu and Dr Fruitloop were off site, we could not make use of EMH). But this was a mean feat and we skipped Indy because of the long line.

It entailed UKFAN and I running to collect fast passes. If we had the kids in tow or it had been during school vacation time, there is no way we could have done this much.

So, while my wife and I have been known to do 20 or 30 attractions in a day, it was pre kids, EMH, no sit down meals or shows, and off season. And not my idea of fun anymore.

Avoid being an average guest and you'll see all the attractions you want. That, and as a bonus you'll avoid the misery of mid-day Florida 8 months out of the year.
