It seemed like they were playing Anaheim and Long Beach against each other. Both cities lost out, but in Long Beach's case, there was real protest from the environmental side to not build a theme park there.

That being said I think that there are ways to fix it and to better incorporate it into the Anaheim resort area even if Disney does not buy it. Personally I would like to see Disney buy this property, but if I had to guess I think that they are waiting for the price to drop some more.
