Right, but at least it's still doable. If not a squeeze.

I remember one day when Small World broke down and we were trying to fix the problem we had guests exit the boats. Despite the person on the address system asking guests to remain seated I came across some guests roaming behind the set in Africa. When I asked the guest what they were doing they replied that they got tired of waiting and decided to get out. I inquired where did they think they were going? Did they know where the exits would take them? Had they thought about the fact that there was moving machinery everywhere? They it was unsafe to be walking around the building unescorted? They looked at me like I was speaking chinese. I turned them around and put them back into their boat. When one gentlemen protested I told him his choices were to go back in the boat or I would have security escort him off property.

First paragraph...should have included that guest thought it was ok to....

Second paragraph...we had guests exiting the boats on their own.

Don't see how that can occur. Lap bars do not expand the distance between rows - that would require a reconstruction of the logs themselves.

I'm not sure that people are more stupid -- it's the same percentage of stupid people, just more people in the parks -- if that makes any sense at all.

I do agree with the addition of the air gates for attractions like 'Big Thunder' 'Space Mountain' 'Pirates' even 'Small World' -- over the years I've seen a lot of close calls, with guests not realizing that a roller coaster train was coming right toward them.

And yeah -- guests do, how shall I say? -- 'check out' when they're visiting the parks.

I remember working the Jungle Cruise, and a dad letting his 5-year old son take a leak in the river. Right there. In between boats loading, and people watching from the queue.

    *tinkle-tinkle-tinkle*

When we approached him, he said he didn't want to have to step out of line and take his kid to the restroom.

    Yeah, man. Far out.

    Dude...

I had that EXACT same thing happen to me. I mean EXACTLY.
