Uh...yeah, this makes no sense, since Kerry lost, but whatever...can we PLEASE keep politics out of the Disneyland board? As for the differences between the DL and WDW Space Mountains... WDW has two separate tracks, like the Matterhorn (in fact, some say that WDW's Space is a copy of DL's Matterhorn...not sure if that's true, but...) DL's Space is one track only, and it's a different layout than WDW's. For one thing, you don't see what's below you at launch like you do at WDW. DL's Space has (will have a new) soundtrack. It didn't used to, but one was added in 1995. WDW's is totally silent, except for the noise of the coaster and the screams. DL's Space has a much smaller footprint than WDW's, because it's only one track. Also, the building is not as tall as WDW's, but that's because it was dug underground. WDW's trains are set up like DL's Matterhorn as well. You sit single file on top of each other. DL has a setup much like WDW's Splash Mountain. You sit side-by-side in rows of two. There are also speakers on either side of your headrest so you can hear the soundtrack. Anyway, those are the differences that will still exist even when the new DL version opens. As far as effects go, I have no idea yet, since they will be all-new. WDW still has the big chocolate chip cookie though.
