In a park where everything changes over the years, can't we at least have some consistency?

Of course I didn't mean any of it. Bellella, as I've said, I have to respect your feelings about classic attractions. But it's obvious that Disney doesn't mind making tweaks. Now, if they were going to replace the ballroom scene in the HM with a disco, then I'd have a hard time with it. But when they make minor changes in an effort to plus the attraction, I'm usually all for it.

And they more they do it, the less I want to spend my time and money with Disney. Then they go and do something else that hooks me right in.

But it still keeps the original feel of the attraction, while giving people something to look forward to after seeing the thing dozens or hundreds of times since the late 60's. The change in Pirates that I didn't like was the PC change of the women chasing the pirates. A very stupid and unnecessary change, IMO.

Throughout the whole nasty buildup to the small world changes, I kept saying the same thing - wait to see it and then decide. Some people did that, and some didn't. I'm fully convinced that some people's preconceptions so colored their ride experience that there was simply no way they could ever enjoy the additions. And then some, like 2oony, are honest enough to cry mea culpa, and then go on to truly enjoy a revitalized classic.

But sometimes I cannot divorce myself from intentions and ethos. I try not to buy cheap clothes for fear of near slave labour production (I buy fair trade when I can). The characters do not sit well at all with me in this one. Whereas I was excited to see what they would do with the America room, especially as it is my fav part in Paris. I just get annoyed when people think that because some of us are anti characters, we are anti change. Because I am not.
