Thanks for the comment, Spirit. We don't receive a tremendous amount of feedback so anything I hear is good. I think we have improved the type significantly over the past four years - we do have a lot of information to convey but Lindsay has worked to ensure that the type is as clear as possible. Hopefully putting the issues on CD-ROM will allow people to enlarge sections to read them.

OLC sell very little product that could be described as collectible and so I'm delighted that they felt that guests would appreciate Tales for its artistic value and content. The Disney Gallery store is minimally stocked and so it looks like Tales will be prominent in that space (if that is still the case and they haven't opted for another location).

Ultimately our coverage has been very strong since our inception and that is testimony to our relationship with OLC.

Indeed they have, and the writing style has found it's pace too! The magazine was pretty good to start with. But now it is a must read (though would still think postcard style shots have their place too - not everyone can get to all the parks, it would be great if Tales brought them to life for folks that have not been). Though Lindsay's style is great for the parks one is familiar with. It would be fab to see a mix of styles (but that is just one reader's view).

With reason its a fantastic article, as is most of the coverage you have done from the Resort. I just wondered if OLC would put on hold selling that issue until after the attraction opens, as a way to not give away to much information on the attraction. As that article gives away the entire ride in just a few pages although still a fantastic read and it makes me want to see the attraction even more now.

OLC should also take great pride that Issue 13 is being dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the Resort. I'm hoping to see OLC not only continue to be great partners for the publication but also continue to give you the freedom to showcase how great the Resort can be like the recent artwork on the Jubilation Parade.

By the way talking of Issue 13 any news on its release date?

Coincidentally I've just approved the press release which should be up on Friday with the contents. We have opted to split the TDR coverage between Issues 13 and 14 with the current news (Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, Enchanted Tiki Room etc.) in the next issue and the development of the park in the following issue.

We are hoping to ship the issue around month-end.

OLC are definitely becoming progressively more open as an organization and we are the main beneficiaries of that at present. OLC will need to communicate the repeatability of this attraction and the importance of Rocky to the storyline and that is an easier process through new stories and publications like Tales. In hindsight I probably should have held back on that particular article as it was too far removed from the opening date and some things have changed. We had a similar problem with the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage story which came out a year before the attraction opened and prior to John Lasseter's tweaks (such as the inclusion of the Darla AA in the main lagoon and the removal of the Big Blue World musical finale). There isn't tremendous value to any stakeholders whether it be OLC, WDP&R, Tales or guests in publishing creative interviews well in advance of the finished product.

We decided with OLC to stick with the hard copy issues. We thought long and hard about issuing the CD-ROM in the first place as we were worried that it would compromise the quality of the primary product. We managed to reach a level of quality on the CD-ROM that we were happy with but it remains a secondary product to the magazine.

MN - I believe the shipping charge is only $6.50 for the CD-ROM to Japan. That is one benefit of the CD-ROM is that is it is a more cost-effective option when we need to ship internationally.

Yup - we won't be releasing that next CD-ROM until Spring/Summer '09 though (I'd anticipate the release being around the same time as Issue 15).
