Even christmas shopping, Transformers fall apart today because they are cheap plastic rather than metal. Star Wars Action figures lack the detail and feel frail compared to my 1970's and 80's ones.

I am tired of this. I will gladly pay more for quality. But as I walked around Toys R US, the only quality non electronic toys were lego, playmobile, hot wheels and Barbie. That is not a lot for such a huge store.

It chaps my hide. I would rather pay more and buy less, but it lasts. But our want it now cheap society gets to me. And when I see it happening the Disney parks, it really makes my blood boil - not just about Disney, but the state of the world as a whole.

You are a very young guy, so I'll cut you some slack on this...

Suffice to say, Dave, I had the very same conversation with a friend of mine...

    Back in 1978.

And I'm sure my Dad did too...

    And his Dad...

    And so on.

Relax a little, the handbasket is always around but, it always gets "slightly" worse generation by generation...

    Except that it doesn't, really.

There are lots of great reasons to be alive NOW, and lots of hope and dreams and promise...but quality T-shirts don't really matter much. ;p

OR...you can become a cranky grandpa at age what, 28? If so, I feel for your kids! (no insult, you know that! but they feed of any vibe the parents are giving off and I KNOW you know THAT!)

It reminds me of an episode of I Love Lucy from the 1950's where Fred Mertz was complaining about the diminishing quality of cars "these days." He said that they used to make quality cars in Detroit, unlike the "bucket of bolts" that they're turning out now. Imagine that sort of notion about 1950's Detroit cars, which by today's standards were built like tanks to last.

Sounds good I can't get enough of the good stuff coming out of the Paris Resort lately, it deserves more coverage.

*** If I were being flippant, one could say they were worried about the WDW demographic who have never ventured to other Disney resorts would see that quality exists at other places and change their paterns. 8-p ***

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one Dave, the crowd WDW attracts don't care about quality and look at the other Resorts as being to small. Mind you providing these people continue to think this way it will be good news for me, as I can enjoy the other Resorts with full knowledge that I won't be bumping into one of the low life's WDW attracts.
