And while I wasn't very excited for this attraction, by all accounts its good, so I'll take everyone's word that its a welcome addition to both the Pier and DHS. I call it as I see it. And sometimes I blow against the wind. I think this "imagineer" wishes he had waited until the actual reviews hit the internets to bitch about the chatter. They do seem a bit touchy these days.

I'm confused as to the connection.

The Mummy, just like RnRC, is a fun but overrated rolley coaster. Neither attraction come close to being amongst O-Town's best and neither are major attendance drivers for their respective parks.

I think the point was being made that Dubailand will hurt itself by building so much all at once. But if that's incorrect, I'm sure the writer of the quote will correct us.

Either way, the only WDW comparison I see is that Disney has developed most of its Florida property and has very little land left that can sustain a major development. I miss the green WDW of my youth. Now, it's just an extention of the urban sprawl of Central FLA.

At that point it was thought to be overdone and over exploited as a means of expression by both the creatives and the general public. That's why Epcot has closed and not replaced so many of them.

And despite the popularity of attractions like PoC and Mansion, it's telling that Disney doesn't want to build them anymore. Seen an attraction like that at HKDL?
