I have never stayed at either the Miracosta or the Ambassador, but I thought the rooms at the Sheraton were quite big for a hotel in Japan.

There's high-speed Internet at the desk, so it's clearly intended to be used with a laptop computer. Plus, they have conference facilities at the hotel, so they intend to market toward business visitors to some degree. But, the chair is completely unsuitable for work at that desk, as the seat is way too low when compared to the desktop height. It was as if someone that has never had to work at their computer in a hotel room before picked them totally based on visual design. A real shame when you consider that it's a brand new hotel.

While I was traveling alone, I definitely didn't feel like there would be any problem fitting a 2nd person in the room. I've stayed at hotels in NYC that had smaller rooms (and not exactly cheap prices)
