While the others may not be fully built out, they offer a much more interesting and diverse day IMO. And while Epcot's attractions may be somewhat lacking for some (personally, I find them quite interesting), the overall experience far outweighs any loss there for me. You need to approach that park (and DAK for that matter) with a different mindset, but there's a lot of really neat stuff if you're willing to slow down and explore a little and learn something on vacation. I guess it's all a matter of opinion!

I get what you're saying, but I think you're looking at this the wrong way Hokie, or perhaps you're a little too biased to understand the mindset of someone who isn't in town to spend a whole week running around visiting theme parks. As Ferret said, WDW offers a huge set of diverse activities. You could easily spend several days there without even passing through a theme park gate, especially if you're in town for a conference, meeting or some other non-vacation related activity. Moreover, it has two parks - EPCOT and Animal Kingdom - that are unique to Disney's Florida property. So, of course people who've been to DL, TDL, HKDL, or DLP who are in Orlando for a limited time might choose one of those parks to visit for a day instead of the MK.

But is that overall experience, which for EPCOT basically equates to drinking and eating, worth 90 bucks for one day? You're basically paying 90 bucks to spend more money.

I just don't see that being all that compelling.

Same with DAK. You're paying 90 bucks for a glorified zoo that closes at 5PM.

EPCOT and DAK may be the most "original" parks in WDW, but they're by far the least compelling for me. Only reason I go to either is because I have an AP.

I can see why this wouldn't have the repeatability of exploring a Magic Kingdom park, however if we're talking about a one day ticket for an adult who wants to experience something unique to Florida then sampling the dining options at EPCOT sounds good to me.
