I am more likely now to go to a UK or European park for Halloween now.

I worked them. What a hoot they were. Such a terrible failure, no one ever came, and we usually got to leave 2-3 hours early.

The only thing good about them were the fireworks.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to visit those parks, but it's not feasible for us for the time being, and I prefer not being treated like a second-rate Disney fan online because I don't have the mobility or capital to make it out to the Asian parks.

They're just educating you, not insulting you.

However, if you call them out for it, you're in the wrong and insulting them.

I don't really post here anymore as a result of this attitude, but I just wanted to let you know how things work.

I think it is a nice event, and even at the price worth doing once. Sadly this year I won't be attending due to work, and the kids crazy schedule. Oh and the number if days that will be dedicated to Halloween Horror Nights. Universal has this crazy deal going where you get every night for the first 3 weeks of HHN for, like, 60 bucks. With the kids schedule we need that find of flexibility.

That pass is so much win. I'll get all 3 days I want to go for less then the price of one.

    I hope I am right. :)

We didn’t do it at all for the Halloween offerings, we did it purely for the access to the rides and attractions without any wait times.

For us it was worth every penny. When I’m on vacation, time is precious whether I’m in WDW, or sitting on the beach down the shore. Did I make Disney’s day? Sure, but I made my day too. On vacation, I'm willing to pay for that.<<<

This is very a very sad statement indeed. I mean.. it's your money and if you are willing and able to dish up extra dough for an additional 5 hours in the MK..then by all means.. be my guess and make THEIR day.
But me? Nope. First of all, I am not on vacation since I live minutes away from WDW, and I much rather they kept the park opened until 1AM during the month of october and have EVERYONE enjoy the halloween parade and pyro. All they have to do is substitude the regular "Celebrate a stale Dream" parade and "Wishes" for the halloween parade and pyro, and PRESTO! If HKDL offers the halloween event to daytime guests and offers a special eveing hours only passport with reduced prices aimed at locals, why can WDW and DL do the same?

Again.. I really am very sad that folks are being made to pay to enjoy the extra time at the parks. This is why I will NOT pay for MNSSHP party, regardless of how much fun they can be. Besides.. many kids and most adults attending do NOT need all that candy.

Then there is the same old stuff they do every year.. same parade, same fireworks, same decor, same stuff. To that, I say to WDW management "BOO TO YOU!"

Smack me right up with that rube label thank you :)

But, most of all it is great fun, with a great crowd. Having grown up in New England, I'm very much use to the Halloween drill. But it is so much fun attending a Halloween party with Europeans who I don't think are familuar with this event at all. It's not often you get to see Europeans let their hair down! So to me it's about everyone else there. Sometimes it can be about the crowd!

On the downside, just as what has been pointed out. If your not attending MNSSHP and your in the Magic Kingdom the park closes ridiculously early and if your NOT attending MNSSHP then your chased out of the park. If your a paying guest you do feel like Disney is ripping you off as Disney doesn't close any of the other parks early and chase off guests attending those parks. Bare in mind that MNSSHP takes place practically every other night in the Magic Kingdom during September/ October. That means if your visiting WDW for a week in either September/ October at least several nights during that week your chased out of the MK at 7 PM. You can always go to another park if you have the "hopper" option on your WDW passes. Not everyone does that and I would advise against getting the hopper option if your a WDW first timer. Your only other option is to hit DTD or explore resorts, which are all "free".

All I have to say is that if I'm at WDW for a week and if it is my last day and I'm at the MK and being chased out of the park at 7 PM, that is sending me the wrong message.

You also want to keep in mind that these events sell out fast. I've attending MNSSHP in the rain before because there was only one night available for tickets during my stay and it happened to rain that night. My only advise is to pack two costumes, a normal one and incase of rain dress as a Gloster fisherman.
