The video doesn't feature the moving flame whips, or the 80 ft. telescoping tower with fire effects. Disney said it, not me - the show has more fire than any other Disney show in the world. And I agree with Dabob2 - the show hasn't even premiered yet. At least wait until you see the full show before you start criticizing it.

It's tacky, and not good Show, and should be done after the park is clear of Guests. Althought, for groups of Disneyland Cast Members who have been drinking around the World, it's a highlight of the night where we all help count down to Orlando's lowered Show standards. I do appreciate that mousermerf is trying to use that as an example of how WDW has bigger fire effects in their aging 1990's night spectaculars though. You gotta admire the guys spunk.

Great to watch after getting wet at Jurrasic Park.

Honestly, I don't even think the fire in IllumiNations is that special. Yeah, it's a big, but so what? The cool thing about what Disney is doing with flame in WoC is that it's choreographed...the fire moves and dances.

So they added an audio track to it, to play to the maybe 200 people still left in the park. And it has to be done there, in the open of the lagoon, before taking the globe backstage into more confined areas. Sure, they could wait till the park was swept of people, but that would mean keeping a crew on the clock for at least another hour, just sitting around and wasting money while they were waiting. I think it's kind of a cool thing, even though I have yet to see it live (all them martinis just make me need to go to bed quicker!).

Listen - I understand you all like to talk nonsense and support each other in that endeavor, but could you at least bother showing the facts and proof you claim exists? Disney says it's the most fire - well, where? And by what measure? The inferno barge is burning more fuel and letting out a bigger fireball then the effects do at DCA. How many nozzles does DCA have? I know how many the inferno barge has - so bring it. Show up with some facts. How much horse power is produced? Again, I know that for the inferno barge and it's not some dead-wrong observation third person "they say you can feel the heat at DCA but you can't at Epcot." C'mon - nozzles and horsepower? Anyone..?

Originally Posted By danyoung >he inferno barge is burning more fuel and letting out a bigger fireball then the effects do at DCA.< You're probably right about this. Does it matter in the slightest? Not at all. Fire effects aren't simply about the amount of fuel consumed or the size of the fireball. It's about how they're used within the context of the show. I haven't watched the entire show clip that's online, but I have seen the testing of the fire nozzles, and they really looks impressive. Of course, we all have to wait and see what the reality is, so arguing about a show effect that has yet to debut is completely pointless, like most of your posts, merf.
