I don't see how it can even be compared. And it is fun to hear the unexpected loud boom!

It's just sort of one of the cheesiest and most random things, and it makes us laugh. The best Bad Show thing we saw at Epcot on the last visit was the Unload hostess at Gran Fiesta Tour leaning/sitting up on the wood railings at her console, chomping gum, and playing with her cellphone with both hands while boats were in motion in the station. She kind of glanced at us as our boat slid in to unload, and made a quick wave motion with her right hand without speaking, then went back to her texting and gum chomping. CLASSIC WDW FAIL! But wow, did we laugh. You can tell they have no DOSH oversight in that state, and they have very different standards for what a Lead or Manager should be looking for in the performance of their Cast. In fact, they don't have Leads at WDW, just "Coordinators" who, um, coordinate things. That Gran Fiesta Tour hostess definitely needed some more coordinating, since there is no one there to lead her.

So I'm not so sure you're in the right here about one park being superior to the other. Just a guess, however.

I've seen a presentation where they put a video camera among them while the show was in production. It was quite a spectacle. BUT... based on the Pirates of the Caribbean sequence that I've seen in some pretty bad video od World of Color(right here on this site!), I may be wrong. There was an awful lot of flame effects, both in the buildup and in a couple of very big sequences. It may be more flame effects than seen in any other Disney show. I guess we'll have to wait and see the World of Color when it is actually in production to really know for sure. Or, for now at least, take the word of the person who has actually designed and programmed the show. What a concept!
