I don't know if it is still in effect but when TDL opened that park had a reservation system that guaranteed entry into the park on a specific day. If you didn't have a prepaid ticket and the park was sold out on the day you arrived you were turned away at the gate. It certainly seems reasonable that a system like that could be worked out at the DLR. Overcrowding certainly diminishes the whole experience.
