While techincally not a real feature, it just drives me batty thinking how much Pooh stuff is out there. There is really nothing of any interest to me in any of the three segments, and they are all done in a rather dull style. I've seen a couple of the various TV shows, and, while slightly better, I still can't stand them. I just don't see what is so great about this bear filled with honey, and why he (and his friends)deserve so much attention in merchandise, the parks, on TV, in movies, and just in general.

I find Pooh, however, to be mellow-dramatic, as in the little drama in the plot has been mellowed out to the point of mush. If the Pooh characters could actually become passionate about something, I bet they would be pretty interesting. As they are now, the Hundred Acre Wood is sort of the anti-soap opera.

It does seem like most of Pooh's friends have more interesting personalities than him though. They have little quirks that make them interesting, but he just has nothing. I would say the others range in interesting from about the same as a piece of cardboard (boring at first, until you notice the little ridges inside, but then boring again) to notebook paper (kind of interesting at first, but not really), while Pooh himself is about as interesting as a piece of printer paper (not at all...and we're not talking about the Imagineering blank page here, we're talking about the one that is supposed to be the most interesting, colorful, informative page in the entire book). I guess you could say that I'm not a huge fan. : )

And it's funny, if you watch a soap you can get into it, but if you see clips of other soaps, then those ones seem so overacted and ridiculous. lol

Why I didn't just sleep in is beyond me.

I also loved watching "Dumbo's Circus" and "Welcome to Pooh Corner" on The Disney Channel back when it was a *good* channel (you may have been too young for those though, I think---if you were even born yet, lol).

Also, I think it was called Through the Looking Glass or something, but there was a live action Alice in Wonderland series that also freaked me out a little bit to say the least. Why were the early Disney Channel things so strange?

Each episode started in her nice 80's looking bedroom, and the cat went through the mirror, and she had to follow. That's what I remember most about it, but I also remember the caterpillar, who seemed to have at least 5 pairs of hands, and back in those days, they were real hands. He would always pass things up and down, and I remember thinking that was really cool. I don't remember too much else about it, but I think I remember the Cheshire Cat, but I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure it was on Disney Channel, but it may have been on Nickelodeon (but I would assume Disney would have done it, considering the content).
