Don't get your hopes up - this IS TDO, after all.

As I've said before, it's probably going to be a SW Cantina restaurant, an x-wing spinner and a permanent Jedi Academy stage show for the ADHD boys.

    Don't get your hopes up!

Pretty sad when I can pull out a sketch I made at thirteen years old of a full SW park with the Death Star at the centre, ala SE, a "Hall of Fallen Jedi"(think HoP in the MK)and an "Escape From The Tusken Raiders" thrill ride careening through rock canyons(along with MANY OTHER attractions)and it's going to be better than ANYTHING the modern WDC will do in Orlando!

High quality theming needs attractions to be successful. FLE is high quality theming without top-notch attractions, and it's already yesterday's news (or worse, a disappointment) for most people."

And that's what makes TDS the greatest theme park I have EVER visited - unparalleled theming mixed with superlative E-tickets!

You're wrong. Why limit it to theme parks? TDS is the greatest thing ever devised by humankind.

I think the point in all of this (and yes it is made often and pointedly) that Disney is capable of still producing quality new experiences when it needs to. I would love to see TDS. The pictures look amazing. The question one asks is why don't they do that more here...especially at WDW. I think fans would be more forgiving IF when Disney decided to build new experiences they were Disney's best work. As pretty as the Fantasyland expansion is (and it really is pretty) the experiences are not Disney at their best. The Little Mermaid is cute and that is about it. It is a disconnect for me. Well not really. My thought is that Disney no longer Imagineers, but Accountineers.

    4 of the attractions I deem "F-tickets" and 1 looks to be a "G"

///but taking a walk around the park to admire the environments is worth the price of admission///

I'd pay up to 3 times the admission just to saturate in the environments.

Those who have seen Potterland and to a much lesser degree Carsland should start to understand what awaits at Disney Sea. Disney Sea, basically, has that level of detail throughout the entire park.

Sure, the Studios is a mess, but it always has been. For me it is kind of a "we'll go to the Studios too" kind of park, not a primary draw. Heck, if you want to go to a really good Studios park you are going to go to Universal anyway.

Epcot's Future World used to be FANTASTIC, and it just isn't any more. I'd be fine with shutting it down for a couple of years to totally re-do it if they could come up with something close to the vision of the original. I'd tear out pretty much everything except for Spaceship Earth. That is still a great attraction, though everything from the 70's computer scene through the end of the ride could use MAJOR revision.

As for the Showcase, it is still very enjoyable and does what it always did... a place to get a brief sense of what other countries are like and a fine place to shop and dine. The only problems with the Showcase are hopeless attractions like the Gran Fiesta Tour and Maelstrom.

Oh... and ILLUMINATIONS. My God, it has been a great show but it is WAY overdue for a replacement. The largest component, the traveling and opening globe, doesn't even work anymore. The inferno barges that remain in place are uglier than hell... isn't there SOME way to hide the stuff during the day that makes Illuminations work at night? Maybe not... they've trashed up Paradise Bay with the workings of World of Color at DCA too. At any rate, please replace Illuminations... the score is still good, but everything else needs to go!!

I once saw a roach on a boat I was riding in on Small World at Disneyland. Luckily it appeared at the end of the ride just as we emerged outside. When you see one cockroach there are usually hundreds more hiding nearby, a certainty which caused me major anxiety as we sloooowly glided to the exit. Seriously, we couldn't get to the dock fast enough.

I was sick of Illuminations five years ago.

In fact, all the nighttime "spectaculars" are pretty unspectacular. MK fireworks are still ok, since the main draw is fireworks over the castle.

But even Wishes is a decade (or more?) old.
