Oh, yeah, there was this fairly new place in Southern California called Disneyland that was pretty awesome. And this dude named Walt was on TV every Sunday night promoting it.

    Worst thing?

The Hollywood version of the 30's and 40's is definatley a place that I would love to be. Everything was so glamorous, and just plain classy. I'm als a big fan of people wearing fancy hats, and that seemed to be a big thing back then. I know fedoras are making a comeback, but they all look like they got shrunk in the dryer, and aren't nearly as good as the originals.

I also think that I would fit in pretty well with the Baby Boomers, which I guess comes from my parents. That also seemed to be an era when there was just so much hope and potential that anybody could do anything. There were just so many huge changes that generation got to experience and be a part of that I don't think any generation from here out will ever get again. Sure, there seems to be a bit of social change going on right now, but nothing on the scale of the grand changes to everything that happened in that time.

I wanna party with you. ;)

Slightly off of what you're talking about here, but isn't this the coolest thing?

And then I'd go back to the 80s. As LilMermaid said, Saturday mornings meant something back then.

Seriously though, I really wouldn't know what era I'd like to go back in. US History really isn't that bad of a subject...I like the history of the US after the Civil War, so first I'd start off with the 1920s. There were no wars, a little mouse named Mickey would make his debut, and everyone was happy.

I'd probably go for the 1950s and mid-60s next, and see the US in its squeaky-clean image before the turbulence that was to come.

And of course, the 70s...I'd love to see commercialism and materialism back then. I love the original "Dawn of the Dead" so I'd be curious to see what shopping malls looked like back then. I'd also love seeing the "new" electronics like 8-track players and Betamaxes (we still have one). And of course, be first in line for Space Mountain. :)
