Until you can tell me exactly who the "Founding Fathers of religion" are, and why they know more than I do, I'll go ahead and trust my own eyes thanks. ;)

    ***Witch craft I tells ya***

Funny thing about that...the accused "witches" that sank were considered absolved, but the ones who could walk on water...watch out!

JERUSALEM: A scientist with the Israeli ancient text institute studying the Dead Sea Scrolls has made the startling discovery that John 2: 1-11 was mistranslated by the Greeks from the original Aramaic. It seems that Jesus actually changed the water into custard.

Oooooh, God's gonna give you such a smiting!

That plus the blasphemy stuff (I'm personally looking forward to meeting my Mother in hell...I was told by many Nuns and Sunday school teachers that she's already there, thanks to her unforgivable suicide).

    LOL! Very good, SD.

As someone in the middle (a liberal non-athiest), I'm going remain agnostic on that one.

There are a lot of church leaders that don't quite get the concept, no doubt about that.

Apparently there must have been something of a transition period doctrinally for 35 years, as now I guess Limbo definitively doesn't exist. Doesn't that mean it never did?

Much like the catholic practice of having your marriage annulled. If you write them a big enough check, not only are you no longer married - you never were! Even if it went on for thirty years and three kids and a mortgage and a pool - it never happened. Poof.

    It's a miracle.

I was just about to ask if they did a control for the Mormons who are educated within Mormon institutions. If you're not just kidding, mawnck, and it was all BYU students, the phrase "quel surprise" comes to mind.

And although I can't find a direct reference to it (and don't wish to pay to read the article, since that seems to be the only way to access it online), I get from the article excerpts I have found that it was students at Brigham Young that were the subjects, presumably because that's where all the educated Mormons go to school.

    This is Josh's source:
    <a href="http://www.adherents.com/largecom/lds_dem.html" target="_blank">http://www.adherents.com/large...dem.html</a>
and this (ahem) is the link that's supposedly the source's source:
    <a href="http://www.byuh.edu/kealakai/current/pages/education.html" target="_blank">http://www.byuh.edu/kealakai/c...ion.html</a>

I'll give Josh credit though. I found LOTS of LDS trolls on other discussion boards mentioning the same study, and Josh doesn't just copy and paste his posts from the Secret Talking Points List. Most of them do.

Incidentally, Heaton is still at BYU, and Albrecht is now the President of Utah State.

What's silly is to make amy claim that liberals and atheists are smarter. What's even sillier is to lump liberals and atheists together. Such are the vagaries of these silly studies.
