And if they do bring back the Rocket Rods, if you remember correctly, to get on the PeopleMover, you had to go up an elevator in the center area where they loaded the PeopleMover and Rocket Jets, right? Maybe they could do it that way again.

I'll bet new tecnology could take this same idea and make a new ride that would seem fast without really useing that much speed. With today's tecnology I'll bet you would really feel like you had real speed (like Star Tours) and so everyone could ride. Of course some vehicles would accomodate wheel chairs (like ET the ride). Well, I'm just thinkin. This would be my kind of ride.

The idea of a successful new Tomorrowland .. would be one with enough variety and diversity. Trying to turn it into a Tron land is a recipe for too much of the "same" thing from one attraction from another. Potentially making it boring within just a few short years of it's debut. Come on imagineering. Do a real Tomorrowland. A Tron land sounds like too much of ONE thing.

That's so BORING!<< Got any better ideas you wouldn't mind sharing? I meant a "real Tomorrowland" that's not a show for one particular franchise. In this case - the Tron franchise. To turn Tomorrowland into a showcase for Tron is severely limited. There's more to the world than just one story/movie.

But I don't think all of this will or was meant to come to pass. This is just the imagineers thinking out loud. Pleanty of ideas here but only one or two will ever see the light of day, and then only if they are lucky. Meaning if they can't get the big 'E' Ticket then they would settle for the arcade makeover with a land retheme. IDK just my thoughts. I really don't think the imagineers want an all Tron Tomorrowland. The theme is just too narrow.

I am assuming the only reason they don't tear it down is for structural support reasons and they don't want to waste the money.
