The only trouble I see with that approach is that it would be more Sci-Fi Land than Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland traditionality presented us with a vision of the future that could be right around the corner. True, some of the stuff there was a bit far-out, but most of it seemed like it could be possible in maybe 30 or 40 years. (Just like the original vision of the future presented at EPCOT Center.)

If they try to go so far out in time as 2300 or 2400, I think we would lose that vibe, and things would tend to become more "fantasy".

Bellella, you can't have a land dedicated to future progress and be unwilling to let go of the past.

You want them to bring back RocketRods, save Autopia, etc, but these are very old outdated attractions that are anything but dedicated to future progress.

True enough, but it's pretty clear they're not going there. At least 2300 is still tomorrow, and if they started with a coherent vision (ie this is a city in 2300), they could create something, well, coherent again.

They'd have to change the name to Day-After-Tomorrowland

Well, as far as SciFi ant the future goes, EVERYTHING that is envisioned for the future IS science fiction UNTIL it actually happens.

Tomorrowland’s original Trip to the Moon was science fiction at the time. Some of the goodies in Carousel of Progress and the House of they Future were science fiction in nature. There may well have been people who had the vision to see that such things were possible and some may have actually helped develop the eventual products. But at the time, if there was no such thing available, it was just something that sprang from someone’s sci-fi addled brain.

Okay, no more RocketRods. But they've got to use that track for something that doesn't tie in to a movie.

I wonder if WDI could do a people mover using mag-lev technology or other possible successor to rail transport. It wouldn't have to be fast, just a decent example of the technology.

Although that might be risky given the problems with the LIM tech used on California Screamin' and other coasters.

    Which made it poor theming.

What problems is Screamin having with the LIM?
