Even though Light Magic wasn't a big success, many fun moments were had working on that parade route before the shows. You have to admit that theme song was pretty catchy.... I do wish they had kept the fibr optic effects on those Main Street buildings.

it was kind of neat being part of that moment. i will get sentimental next year, because it would be the 10 anniversary of rocket rods. ah the rocket rods, another interesting chapter in disneyland history! i will reminence about them next year!

the fireworks on the rooftop were a nice touch though.

it was also during that period, that i truly felt proud being a custodian. even with that huge mess, we managed to clean it all up very efficiently.

We have to give the performers credit for giving it their all. A lot of 'em would slip on the silver colored pixie dust that made the floats "magically" light up!

It's to bad it didn't last, but I still feel fortunate being there during the time it did run. Those were good times! ºoº

    - The major disadvantage of the MSEP was that it split the park in two for so long a period. A traveling show like LM doesn't interfere with the East-West traffic nearly as much.

    - They made a more child-oriented show to serve as a counterpoint to the more adult-oriented Fantasmic.

In any event, it didn't work well enough.

In all fairness, Walt himself could've risen from the dead, walked down Main St. and given out free $100 bills and some would still say it wasn't a good enough replacement for the Electrical Parade.

LM couldn't replace it, nothing could. It could only substitute and it failed at that.

Loved the fiber optics though. A neat touch that surprised me when it didn't survive the overall debacle.
